With a flurry of rehearsals ending with two dress rehearsals over the next day, we are ready to raise the curtain for the first of our audiences, groups of schools coming to see our lovely children's opera Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week, Monday and Tuesday next week (April 5-7 and April 11th and 12th). We'll be performing eight school shows at the Jewish Community Centre altogether, and also having our first public performance on Thursday, April 7th at 7:30 p.,m.
Everyone has worked very hard, of course, and things are coming together beautifully and suddenly, in the way that things usually do in theatre - a reasonable amount of chaos, followed by that sudden electricity and energy, and a lot of lightbulb moments.
We're going to give you just the tiniest peek, and nothing more. You're just going to have to come see the show yourself!
More details are yet to come for our school shows in the county, and our appearance at the Windsor Fringe Festival, before we announce all the information about a June fundraiser at Migration Hall. All kinds of events are coming up before our big trip to Scotland! Right now, all our energy and enthusiasm is for our next week at the Jewish Community Centre! We're so excited to be part of this unique entertainment with so much educational background to share. Our enormous thanks to the dedicated efforts of our friends at the Jewish Community Centre for their tireless promotion and sponsor seeking to help raise awareness and audiences for this project!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
